Love of mankind. It involves doing good for others......
Philanthropy comes from the Greek word φίλος philos (or filos), and άνθρωπος,
antropos, which can be translated as love (or "lover of", "friend of"), and "man"
(or human being), this is why philanthropy means love of mankind. Philanthropy is
known as the act of donating money, time, effort, services and goods in order to
support a bonafide cause, usually a Non-profit Organization. Though philanthropy,
we can help improve diverse quality of life issues.
Why philanthropy?
There are millions of non-profits worldwide. There are more than 6,378* NGO's
(Non-profit Organizations) in Puerto Rico alone. These NGO's generate more than
229,000* direct jobs on the island. More than 800,000* individuals benefit from the
services of NGO's in the Third Sector in Puerto Rico.

Various of the multiple ways we help promote philanthropy is through our web pages,
our virtual radio program and the use of new technologies and social networks. We
promote the Third Sector from a radial platform with a variety of topics related to the
non-profit sector. We are most appreciative of the opportunity that we have to reach
an audience interested in these topics.
