The first radio program in Puerto Rico dedicated to the Third Sector

Philanthropy means...
Love of mankind. It involves doing good for others......

Philanthropy comes from the Greek word φίλος philos (or filos), and άνθρωπος,
antropos, which can be translated as love (or "lover of", "friend of"), and "man"
(or human being), this is why philanthropy means love of mankind. Philanthropy is
known as the act of donating money, time, effort, services and goods in order to
support a bonafide cause, usually a Non-profit Organization. Though philanthropy,
we can help improve diverse quality of life issues.

Why philanthropy?
There are more than 6,378* NGO's (Non-profit Organizations) in Puerto Rico.
These NGO's generate more than 229,000* direct jobs in Puerto Rico. More than
800,000* poeple benefit from the services of NGO's in the Third Sector in Puerto

Philanthropy helps us transform the quality of life of people...We invite you to listen to
and participate on the first radio program dedicated 100% to the Third Sector. The
radio program Hablando de Filantropía (Talking about Philanthropy) has been on
the air since 2005. The topics are varied, and cover a diverse spectrum of needs of
the Third Sector.
